Intarsia is the art of building images from individually shaped pieces of different wood species. Each segment is cut, contoured, and sanded by hand. The natural color and grain of the wood provide all the variation — no paint or stain is used. Subjects range from wildlife and landscapes to portraits and custom commissions.
